Binge Mode: Amazing Audio w/o Crazy Post-Production

Binge Mode: Amazing Audio w/o Crazy Post-Production

Binge Mode from The Ringer has exploded into popularity thanks to their original blend of entertaining and insightful analysis of popular fiction like Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, and Star Wars. But Binge Mode, despite it's irresistible audio, doesn't do all the crazy post-production editing usually associated with the phrase "production value." Instead, they do something else -- something we can all do, regardless of our budget -- in order to produce an unbelievable podcast.

Adobe's Wireframe Podcast and the Need to Create Brand IP, Not Just Content

Adobe's Wireframe Podcast and the Need to Create Brand IP, Not Just Content

What if you white labeled your brand's podcast? How would they know it was you? Today, we break down Adobe's Wireframe podcast, and we look harder at the idea that a show should be "brand IP" -- an identifiable, defensible premise and identity that is wholly our own. How do we create The Only instead of Yet Another? We also tease out insights on show production, sound design, and most crucially, hosting a podcast.

How Drift Runs Their Podcast Network

How Drift Runs Their Podcast Network

Drift's first podcast had all the ingredients of a great show. Hosted by a CEO with a big audience, with a co-host who was an emerging executive in the field, the podcast Seeking Wisdom with David Cancel and Dave Gerhardt exploded. So now what? mine that asset for goodness, no? What about a miniseries inside the same feed? That works too. But then, Drift decided to spin out multiple shows. Not one. Not two. Not three. Not four. FIVE different podcasts, with more on the way. Today, we talk to the minds behind the network, ensuring it runs smoothly each day.

Customer Reviews

ATorb ,

Genius format!

Wow can’t wait for more episodes. Jay is engaging and informative. I feel more connected to the craft of podcasting with each episode.

Andrew Littlefield ,

Gettin’ Nerdy With It

Like all of his shows, Jay puts the time and effort into nailing his formula. Everything about the show has a purpose. Now, he’s breaking down exactly how other creators make content magic. It’s in-depth, content geekery.

cuffless ,

True value in a crowded, noisy world

What Jay delivers in spades is refreshing, genuine, and on-point insights in an thoroughly entertaining manner. I have never listened or read a piece of Jay’s content where I felt it was forced. I have not only learned from him in each and every instance, but also was inspired to take action and perform better work.
