    About Lauren Williams-Batiste:
    Living by her personal motto, “Here for others. True to self,” Lauren Williams-Batiste thrives at the intersection of family, community and entrepreneurship. She and her husband, Donald Batiste, are first-time parents to their daughter, Ada Elle. Ada Elle is named after Lauren’s grandmother who rose from humble beginnings to a fulfilling career as civic leader and entrepreneur in the North Memphis neighborhood in Tennessee.
    Based in her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, Lauren followed in her grandmother’s footsteps by starting her own business, Elle’s Elixirs. Named after Ada Elle to bring everything full circle, her business offers CBD and CBD-free herbal blends that can be sipped, soaked and smoked. Lauren earned her B.A. in History from the historically Black institution, Tennessee State University, after focusing on Africana and Women’s studies. She went on to earn her M.S. in Educational Theory and Practice from Arkansas State University.  In the community, she is engaged with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., The Junior League of Memphis, Memphis Tilth, and CHOICES.

    About Dr. Kaya:
    Dr. Kaya (Angela Ledbetter, MD) is a board-certified emergency medicine physician who is passionate about utilizing cannabis to decrease health and wealth disparities. Dr. Kaya founded 40 Acres And A Dispensary, an organization that educates the Black community on the vast opportunities in the cannabis industry and co-founded Indica PhD, an organization that provides cannabis health education to the Black community. She is a board member and the secretary of ACHEM (Association for Cannabis Health Equity and Medicine), a professional organization for BIPOC healthcare professionals and students active or interested in cannabinoid medicine and health equity, as well as a coalition member of CHEM (Cannabis Health Equity Movement) and a co-creator of I Am Defining Me. Along with her cannabis industry education and cannabis health education work, Dr. Kaya actively advocates for equitable cannabis legislation within organizations like Minorities for Medical Marijuana and ACHEM.

    About Javier Mac:
    Javier McIntosh is currently a full-time artist living in Downtown, Atlanta. After graduating from Georgia State University with a Managerial Science degree, Javier decided to focus all of his efforts into video production. Within a year he became Director of Photography for one of Atlanta's most successful photo marketing boutiques and would win Best Atlanta Indi Production Company in 2017. Over the past decade, he produced for brands such as Spotify, Sprite, and Kia Motors, just to name a few. Before joining forces with Jabriel McIntosh to create McIntosh Bros LLC, Javier was personally commissioned by Reebok, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Patti LaBelle, and then toured with Grammy Award Winning group Arrested Development. When Javier is not working on film projects, he enjoys playing the piano, boxing, and salsa dancing. In his spare time, he volunteers with organizations such as Big Brother Big Sister and Re:ImagineATL. 
    About Tenia Wright:
    Tenia is a founding member and Chief Programming Officer for Freeli TV where her responsibilities include the curation and programming of TV shows and movies.  She received a Bachelor's in Journalism/Public Relations from Georgia State University and a Master's in Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix.  When she is not programming for Freeli, she enjoys producing film projects and serving on the high school ministry at her church.

    About Dr. Allissa:
    Allissa V. Richardson is assistant professor of journalism at USC Annenberg. She researches how African Americans use mobile and social media to produce innovative forms of journalism — especially in times of crisis.
    Richardson is the author of Bearing Witness While Black: African Americans, Smartphones and the New Protest #Journalism (Oxford University Press, 2020). The book explores the lives of 15 mobile journalist-activists who have documented the Black Lives Matter movement using only their smartphones and Twitter.
    Richardson’s research is informed by her award-winning work as a journalism innovator. She is considered a pioneer in mobile journalism (MOJO), having launched the world’s first smartphone-only college newsrooms in 2010, in the U.S., Morocco and South Africa.
    Richardson won the National Association of Black Journalists’ prestigious Journalism Educator of the Year (‘12) award for her international work. Richardson is an inductee into Apple’s elite Distinguished Educator program. She is the recipient of two esteemed Harvard University posts: the Nieman Foundation Visiting Journalism Fellowship (‘14) and the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society Fellowship (‘20). Lastly, she is a fellow in Columbia University’s Tow Center for Digital Journalism (‘20). 
    Richardson’s research has been published in Convergence, Journal of Communication, Digital Journalism, Journalism Studies and The Black Scholar. Richardson serves on the editorial boards of Digital Journalism and the International Journal of Communication. She is an affiliated researcher with New York University’s Center for Critical Race and Digital Studies (CR + DS) as well.
    Richardson holds a PhD in journalism studies from the University of Maryland College Park; a master’s degree in magazine publishing from Northwestern University’s Medill School; and a bachelor of science in biology from Xavier University of Louisiana, where she was named a “Top 40 Under 40” alumna.

    ABOUT DR. SHAUNA WHITE:
    Shauna White, PharmD, RPh, MS is the Executive Director of the District of Columbia Board of Pharmacy and Program Manager of the Pharmaceutical Division at DC Health.  She is responsible for regulating the practice of pharmacy and the drug supply chain in the District of Columbia.  Dr. White is licensed to practice pharmacy in the District of Columbia and Maryland.  Dr. White serves as an experiential learning preceptor for Howard University College of Pharmacy.  She is active in the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy where she serves on the Law Enforcement and Legislative Committee.  She is also active in the National Association of State Controlled Substance Authorities. 
    She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana and a Doctorate in Pharmacy and Masters in Regulatory Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.   She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
    Born in Washington DC and raised in Prince Georges County Maryland, Dr. White gives back to her community by volunteering with local churches and serving as a mentor to high school students. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
