Good: Gallup; Bad: Gaetz; Crazy: Trump Campaign
GOOD: New from Gallup:
Although both parties are about equally disliked, the public chooses the Republican Party over the Democratic Party by healthy margins when asked which will better safeguard the nation’s prosperity and security.
Fifty-three percent of Americans believe the Republican Party will do a better job of keeping the country prosperous over the next few years, whereas 39% choose the Democratic Party.A slightly larger majority, 57%, have greater faith in the Republican Party to protect the country from international terrorism and military threats, while 35% favor the Democrats.
BAD: So what's the point of Matt Gaetz's doomed motion against House Speaker McCarthy? What does it get anybody, other than more attention on Gaetz?
CRAZY: The Trump campaign formally calls for the cancellation of all future debates. Nobody votes until January 15.

The 2024 Campaign: Trump vs. Biden or Are We in for A Surprise?
As Greg heads off on vacation, he and Jim break down the current state of the 2024 presidential campaign for Republicans and Democrats. Does Trump have a stranglehold on the GOP nomination despite big negatives with the general electorate and four major legal fights looming next year? And do his leads in some polls against President Biden undercut the DeSantis argument that he is the better bet next year?
They also dissect where the Democrats stand. Biden has a massive lead among Democrats but his polling is terrible, especially on the economy. Will Democrats roll the dice and stick with Biden in hopes Trump is even more unpopular? Will they move on to Vice President Harris, whom very few in the party seem to have any confidence in? Or will Gov. Gavin Newsom or some other Democrat emerge the worse Biden's health and poll numbers get?
Finally, they consider the Senate map for 2024, where Republicans could gain seats, where they risk wasting more good opportunities, and much more.

Sen. Feinstein Dies, The Looming Shutdown, Trump's Absurd Debate Demand
Join Jim and Greg as they react to the news of California Sen. Dianne Feinstein dying at the age of 90 after years of health issues. They walk through Feinstein's career, point out her reliable liberal votes and her moments of collegiality with Republicans and hostility to GOP judicial nominees. Finally, they reflect on her decision to stay in office as her health problems mounted but also remember one moment that gave conservatives a smile. In other news, Jim and Greg consider the looming government shutdown as the fiscal year comes to a close and the House Republicans, who missed their opportunity to be in a much stronger negotiating position against Senate Democrats and President Biden. Finally, they slam former President Trump's suggestion that the Republican National Committee should just cancel the rest of the primary debates and move on to helping him with the general election.

Media's Border Malpractice, Dissecting the GOP Debate, Where's Gov. Hobbs?
Join Jim and Greg for debate reaction and a whole lot more today. Before serving up the martinis, they're glad to see the U.S. Senate unanimously returning to the previous dress code expected on the Senate floor. Then, they cheer Alabama Sen. Katie Britt for calling out the media for their lack of interest in the horrific reality faced by countless women and children as they illegally come to America. From repeated rapes to drownings to staying indebted to the cartels after arriving, Sen. Britt says it's a far cry from the American Dream. Then they dissect the second GOP debate held Wednesday night at the Reagan Library in California - from the strongest moments to the chaotic crosstalk to some extremely lame jokes. Finally, they express frustration as Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs hands over power for a few hours but never tells the public why she's doing it.

Biden's China Lie, Crime Costs Retailers $112 Billion, Biden's Lame UAW Visit
Join Jim and Greg as they welcome more facts coming out in the House investigation of the Biden family business ventures and alleged influence peddling. This time we learn that six-figure payments from China used Joe Biden's Delaware home as the beneficiary's address. They also shudder as the National Retail Federation reports that retailers suffered $112.1 billion in "inventory shrink" thanks to rampant looting and shoplifting. Finally, they roll their eyes as President Biden spends a whopping 12 minutes joining the UAW picket line before moving on to his big fundraiser in California.

Big GOP Edge on Economy, Iran's U.S. Infiltration, Electoral College Unpopular
Join Jim and Greg as they welcome a stunningly good poll from NBC News showing American voters trusting Republicans far more than Democrats to do a good job on the economy - the biggest edge for the GOP on this issue in 32 years. And Jim breaks down why Americans are very sour on the economy despite the Biden administration insisting that it's great. They also shudder at a Semafor report showing that Iran infiltrated the Obama and Biden administrations as well as the media to push for softer relations toward the mullahs in Iran and the pathetic Iran nuclear deal. Finally, they groan as two-thirds of Americans want to scrap the Electoral College and choose presidents based on the popular vote, and they are especially irked at the 47 percent of Republicans who say they want that. Plus, they explain the wisdom shown by our founding fathers in creating the Electoral College.
