3 Steps to Learn from a Mistake The Responsive Woman Podcast

When you make a mistake, do you choose to see it as failure or see it as an opportunity to learn?
It comes down to a choice.

Your Choice!

You can either feel Out of Control OR In Control!

You can either React OR Respond


IF YOU CHOOSE TO LEARN, FOLLOW THESE 3 STEPS:
1: take a moment to pause


Your body wants to react, but you don't have to. Breathing will help your body slow down.
Take a deep breath, count to 10. And then breathe out. Do it again!

2: remind yourself of the truth:


You have a choice and CAN choose! You don't have to be controlled by your fear. Quiet your fear.
Say "I can make a choice, and I'm choosing to learn."

3: Ask yourself powerful questions:


Get Curious! Think about what information you can gather right now.
Ask yourself "What can I take from this situation to become a better version of myself?"
