Is it Bobby Derie?
Welcome to one of our more unusual recordings.
The interviewee, Bobby Derie of the Lovecraft Deep Cuts blog, declined to be recorded for the interview. So we took his answers and had our favorite Maniac on the Loose, Steve Hudgens, to read them for you!
We hope you'll stick around, he has done a lot of research and has some interesting insights. And an interesting and difficult to pronounce word of the month.
Bobby Derie is a scholar of pulp studies and weird fiction; the author of Weird Talers: Essays on Robert E. Howard and Others and Sex and the Cthulhu Mythos. You can find his blog at https://deepcuts.blog/
Steve Hudgins is a Horror Author and Creator of the Maniac on the Loose – Scary Stories Podcast. You can find his work at https://www.maniacontheloose.com/

Customer Reviews
Generally good but
the host has an extraordinary ability to mispronounce every single mythos entity. Including Cthulhu! I mean who on earth pronounces it Cthu-hoo. Even the most approximate interpretation of HP phonetic Khlul-hloo wouldn’t be twisted into this verbal pretzel. Actually spoils the enjoyment of a mostly interesting addition to Lovecraftian podcasting.
