Born a southern girl from Louisiana with a mixed palette of Panamanian and Honduran roots, Isabel Varela has made her mark through her vast array of expertise ranging from fashion design to public speaking, tailoring to life coaching, and all the way to art and film.  Her brand focuses on empowering women to build a better relationship with themselves, the clothing they wear, for a better planet today and tomorrow.   dict, which portrays her harrowing journey from fashion addict to fashion advocate. She has been awarded “Change-maker of the Year” through the New York Fair Trade Organization and travels nationally giving presentations to universities and empowers students to see both sides of the coin when it comes to the truth about the fashion industry while offering positive and sustainable solutions. Isabel has worked for some of the biggest brands including LVMH, Balmain, Saks, and many more in New York City, implementing social responsibility at the corporate level. Her work also includes creating giant mixed-media sculptures, paintings, and collages to shine the light on the malpractices of the fashion industry and partnering up with companies such as The Canvas, DonateNYC, GoodWill, RefashionWeek, and many others in New York City.
