Van Halen breaks through big with their album 1984, then the wheels come off the wagon with the departure of David Lee Roth. In a move highly questioned at the time, they bring the Red Rocker Sammy Hagar into the fold and the result is VH's first number #1 album, 5150. I discovered this podcast through another listener about 6 months ago. After listening a bit I have one complaint. You guys need to stop putting out new quality episodes so I have time to catch up on all the previous quality episodes. In all seriousness this has quickly become one of my absolute favorite podcasts to listen to. The chemistry between the hosts and all the guest hosts is great. The wide range in both music and film means there is something everyone can enjoy. One of the best parts is when you listen you feel like you are with friends and having a discussion. If you haven’t listened yet jump in….just be ready to get addicted and needing more and more.

Wonderful and fun!

This is such a fun listen: thoughtful and entertaining. Really love the tackling of the great bands and albums. It was a delight to have a conversation with Dean and I’m going to keep listening!

Guilty as charged

Loved the guilty pleasure songs episode, tho you guys are too fancy for me. Only recognized one song, MMMbop which I still proudly rock out to.
Made me reflect on the choices of my life and I can to the conclusion that my biggest guilty pleasure song actually is the result of my biggest guilty pleasure movie.
Titanic and it’s theme song “My heart will go on”, inexplicably capture me whenever they are inexperienced. I wish I could explain it. But Leo and Celine will forever be entwined in my psyche and I could enjoy the movie and the song until I’m old and crusty like Rose was. Tho if I was the captain and saw her throw the diamond off the boat, I’d have tossed her off too.
Keep up the great work!
