Austin Whitman is the CEO of Climate Neutral, a new non-profit organization mobilizing brands and consumers to accelerate action against climate change. He oversees all aspects of the organization in pursuit of its mission to get all companies to pay for their climate pollution. He went to Yale to get his masters in environmental studies and his MBA. Over his 20-year career, he has focused on building innovative companies and programs focused on energy and environmental issues. He has worked with some of the world’s largest utilities, investors, and nonprofits. Most recently, he was Vice President of Energy Markets at FirstFuel Software, where he oversaw FirstFuel’s strategic vision and worked closely with the largest American utility companies. Austin also led FirstFuel’s regulatory affairs team, which advocated within state legislatures and utility commissions for utility industry modernization and broader use of data analytics and cloud computing solutions.
