What is the disease of our nation? And what is the underlying cause of this disease? Why is it important to talk about and learn about black history? How can supporting people of color (predominantly the black and indigenous communities) optimize everyone’s health and the health of this nation? How can non-black people join in on the fight for justice and equality? What brings us hope for the future of our world?   



IN THIS EPISODE: I interview my good friend and esteemed colleague, Dr. Jahaz Shine.   



Dr. Jahaz Shine is a Naturopathic Medical Doctor functioning as Medical Director at enVoque MD for both Scottsdale and Mesa locations. Her primary role is ensuring patient care and safety, office compliance with DEA/FDA, and customer satisfaction.  She is passionate about providing exceptional care and great practice.   Dr. Shine’s background as a Primary Care Provider, covered hormonal replacement/anti-aging, thyroid disorders, autoimmunity, disease prevention, gastrointestinal disorders, chronic pain/fibromyalgia, biotoxin illness, respiratory disease, and anxiety/depression.  

Her focus in the past few years has been that of an integrative approach, including; Intravenous/Injection therapy, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical prescribing, bio-identical hormone replacement, botanicals, homeopathics and more.  Dr. Shine served in the United States Air Force for nearly a decade, where she sat on the board of Occupational Wellness, worked in Space and Missile/Flight Medicine, and Air Evacuations.  She has provided care to American military members in 8 countries.  

Dr. Shine has fought in Washington for Veterans rights and access to care, against the opioid crisis, and for Medicaid/Medicare recipients to have access to Naturopathic care. Dr. Shine is coming from California and making Arizona her permanent home.
