384 - Brass Against and Boomer Bends - Well that's one way to gain fame and notoriety I suppose Chasing Tone - Guitar Podcast About Gear, Effects, Amps and Tone

    • Music

Brian, Blake and Richard are back with an all-new episode of the Chasing Tone Podcast!

Blake tells us all about his pirate fantasy as we delve back into the world of tone chasing once more and he talks about an interestingly housed pedal from an eco friendly source. Richard has seen the new Fender Player Acoustasonic and he still wants one but he feels he isn't ready to spend that much money. Brian on the other hand is not interested unless it's made by Charles Whitfill and diverts the conversation into the painful world of pedal naming.

It's the 2 year anniversary of the launch of the Wampler Terraform and the guys talk about how much they love that particular tiny little bundle of modulation goodness. Richard also drops some hints about some products that Wampler have been working on.

There was some news this week about the lead singer of a band called Brass Against - you may have already heard about them in the news - and their lead singer's now infamous stunt at a festival. Was it a travesty or was it marketing cunning at its finest - we are certainly all talking about it and Brian considers the pros and cons of this type of approach to marketing.

Tim Henson and boomer bends, Brian's Shuttle, Dr. Hook, Rubber asphyxiation suits, the return of the Wamp stamp...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!
