Building Internet of Things & IAQ Financing Strategies
In this episode Serene Al-Momen with Senseware PhD, Michele Pitale, and Devesh Nirmul with CouterpointSRE speak about the emerging challenges brought about by COVID-19 and its impact on the design of the buildings, impacts on human health and air quality, and other outcomes. In this digital age, it is important for building owners, managers, and developers to be able to capture data, not for its own sake, but to be able to use that data to make informed decisions related to finish-outs and retaining tenants.

Post COVID Mixed Use Developments & PACE Financing
The pandemic has brought greater awareness to and appreciation of energy efficient building design. The C-PACE financing mechanism highlights an important metric: savings-to-investment ratio. Additionally, existing buildings are being repurposed and retrofitted to adapt to the "new normal" to maintain operations and keep tenants and guests safe.
Kevin Wallace, AIA Wallace with DSGNworks and Sean Ribble with Green Works Lending share perspectives on how design and construction is changing and how owners can maximize funding opportunities leveraging energy and water efficiency.

Deep Energy Efficiency with Jason Gregory
With regards to existing buildings, it is not usually the lack of suitable equipment that holds back deep energy efficiency. The two-part question posed by owners is often, “How can we justify the additional expense to build or retrofit a building to meet our goals, and how do we do it in a way that generates returns on invested capital?”
In this episode of 3P Theory, we are joined with Jason Gregory, co-founder and CEO of EnergyRM, a software company which exists to unlock investment in deep energy efficiency at scale within a commercial built environment. EnergyRM’s software is focused on three areas: 1) delivering insights about a building’s energy performance across all its energy sources; 2) metering via the DeltaMeter, “a transactable investment-grade energy efficiency meter”; 3) settling a financial transaction.

Indoor Air Quality Transparency with RESET™
We can survive for weeks without food and days without water. Yet, we can only survive a few minutes without air. It comes at no surprise that the impact of air quality on health is significant. Healthy air leads to less sick days and higher productivity. Join us on the 3P Theory podcast this week with Stanton Wong as we discuss more on air quality transparency and the RESET® rating system.
Stanton is the President of RESET. He currently is in charge of overall strategy for RESET and leads the team designing and developing the technology behind the RESET Standard, a results driven, real-time, operations-based building standard focused on the indoor environment and human health.

Customer Reviews
Technically sound
One of the channels I love. Really informative content for listeners of all types. Keep it up.
Informative, current, and interesting
I really enjoy the technical and informative aspect. Great for novices and experts. It does well in staying current with codes and technologies. Also, it keeps your attention throughout.
A must listen for practical tips on sustainable design in the built environment
As someone who’s interested in architecture and the built environment, I was aware of the movement towards sustainable design and practices. While I knew of the environmental benefits of such a paradigm shift, I was not aware of the concrete economic and health benefits such a shift would generate too.
This podcast offers clear examples and explanations of technology today that has the potential to transform the way we approach the design of the built environment. It also offers tangible implications that might be generated from their use too, many of which I found particularly striking. The episode on indoor air quality took me from ignorance to an advocate for bi-polar ionization air purification systems.
I would definitely recommend this podcast to peers that have a stake in the design, operation, and use of buildings and cities, which is basically everyone!
