I never set out to build an associate team when I first started Kylee Ann Studios. I didn’t even know what an associate team was when I hired my first help.
It was 2015, I had been in my business for a few years and I was overbooked with work. I just had my third baby and there were so many tasks I was doing on my own. Between weddings and family shoots, I just could not keep up. Then came Rachel! For those of you who know Rachel, you know she is the founding member of the Kylee Ann Team, she took over as the lead wedding photographer so I can be in all the places I needed to be. And I've been growing my team ever since.
Today I'm talking all about starting your own associate team. All about my hiring process, all about my team and the different players we have from photographers to marketing assistants, and the one million benefits of having a team.
A lot of people think that a bigger team means more money but you can’t look at it that way. Having a team is the fun side of being an entrepreneur, this is stuff you just don’t get to do as an entrepreneur by yourself!
