Welcome to the 22nd episode of "50 Stories for 50 Years" on SHPE Out Loud, the podcast dedicated to amplifying the voices of Hispanics in STEM. In this episode, producer Alex Wait introduces us to the multi-talented Diana Iracheta, also known as Latina Engineer.

Diana, an immigrant from Mexico, found herself as the lone Latina in many of her college mechanical engineering classes. Seeking connection and community, she created the online persona Latina Engineer, which has grown into a powerful platform with nearly 25,000 followers on Instagram, a registered 501c3 nonprofit, and an annual conference drawing over 800 attendees.

Discover how SHPE provided the community Diana was searching for during her college years, aligning perfectly with her mission to get more Latinas involved in STEM. Now a Lifetime Member of SHPE, Diana continues to inspire and influence as a full-time Product Design Engineer at WernerCo.

Tune in to hear Diana’s inspiring journey, her drive to support Latinas in STEM, and the incredible impact she’s making both online and offline.
