6. A Sovereign God, Sinful People, and the Heart of 2 Kings (Part 2‪)‬ Hope in the Process

    • Christianity

Today is part two on this topic and we’re diving deeper into the story of Saul. We’re going to talk about how a heart changed by God will always lead to a transformed life. I hope you enjoy the show!

Episode:

I’m going to start with a recap of Part 1, but I encourage you to listen to that one as it sets up this episode (1:18) I want to point out some things regarding Saul and Samuel (2:32) Let’s jump into 1 Samuel 10, starting in verse 16 (5:15) When we are praying for something, we need to be careful that it aligns with the heart of God and not our own agenda (9:20) God is a God of law and order and desires obedience from His people (12:50) What God does isn’t about us, it’s about who He is (17:09) Saul despaired because his troops were abandoning him as they cowered in fear (23:10) We will have to stand before God and give account for our own actions, which is why the heart check is so imperative (25:26) A changed heart leads to a transformed life (26:46) We have to remember that while we can only see the outward actions of people, God sees and determines the conditions of ones’ heart (34:01) I will continue on with David in Part 3, I want to give David due honor (35:51) Are you fit to fight or created to conquer? (36:56)
