7 Evidence-Based Keys to Lasting Behavior Change w/Jason Gootman The Wellness Paradox

    • Health & Fitness

In order to be taken seriously as part of the healthcare delivery system fitness professionals must produce sustainable and lasting health outcomes. Doing so has much more to do with your coaching skills than your exercise prescription acumen. Our guest in episode 76, Jason Gootman, knows this well.
Jason has a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, but realized quickly that this knowledge was limited if clients didn’t adhere on a longer-term basis; that is, if clients didn’t make lasting behavior change. To facilitate this lasting client change, Jason became a Mayo Clinic Certified Wellness Coach, and then went on to become a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach.
During Jason’s extensive coaching journey, he developed an evidenced-based framework for facilitating lasting behavior change in his clients. He shares that framework with us in episode 76. You won’t want to miss Jason’s practical and actionable approach to helping clients make lasting change. Remember it’s not what our clients achieve that truly matters, it’s what they can sustain on a lasting basis.

Our Guest: Jason Gootman, MS
Jason has his Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology as well as being a Mayo Clinic and Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach. He is a highly sought-after wellness Sherpa by those seeking to thrive. He’s famous for helping people who formerly struggled with taking care of themselves to become really well from the inside out without the misguided and harmful “no-pain, no-gain” workout programs and rigid and ridiculous diets that never work in the long-term. If you’ve tried and failed more times than you can count, he’ll end this cycle immediately and lastingly with his approach that turns the popular, guaranteed-to-fail approaches on their heads. He’s an expert at helping people exercise well, eat well, and care for themselves in all ways. He really shines in the deeper work of helping people improve their relationships with themselves. He’s an expert at behavior change and habit formation since it’s what you do that matters, now what you know. He provides personal wellness coaching and has plans to run an online wellness community to bring his self-care and wellness tools to the masses. As a paradigmpreneur, he is leading the Self-Care Revolution and creating the New Paradigm in Well-Being.
