There is no one good but God. We know this, we're taught this, we think we understand this. But often, what we really translate that into is this: no one is good until they meet Jesus, and then we are good and if we become more good, God will bless us and use us more. At the end of the day, it's a saved by faith, live by works mentality, and it will only take you so far. It may look good on the outside, but on the inside, there is still no one good but God. But here's the thing - God does not use us because WE are good, He uses us because HE is good! And if He had to wait for a good person to use, nothing would ever get done.
