Lens with Benefits, not friends with benefits... don't get it twisted. Sometimes all you can control in this life is your perspective, so let's talk about it. You have two main lens options: you can shorten or lengthen your lens depending on what is going on in your life. In times of grief, trial, or crisis, shortening your lens can narrow your scope and help you make it day-to-day during a trying time. If you find that you are not in any time of trial, you have the opportunity to lengthen your lens and get very specific with your long-term goals and future life plans. Let your short-term lens help you get through a trying time or crisis, and when you are not in the midst of those times, look for opportunities to lengthen that lens and start planning for your future.
