8: Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity And The Job Search
This episode of Diversity and Inclusion on Air took place at 5pm ET on Monday, April 11. The episode focused on issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity during the job search. My guests were Natalie Nguyen from NC State’s LGBT Center and Aiden Powell from Purdue’s LGBTQ Center. This is a great and timely show for graduating students, job seeking professionals and employers who interested in creating inclusive job environments. We talked a bit about the situation in North Carolina and how to address concerns about transgender students with upcoming rotations in the state, and LGBTQ issues in the job hunt.
