Cait Chock: There is Only One Cait Chock

Cait Chock: There is Only One Cait Chock

There is no one like Cait Chock, seriously. Matt and Hanna sat down, cracked open a beer, and let Cait Chock tell her story... exclusively. Cait has one of the most unique relationships with running. As a record-smashing state champion in high school, Cait seemed destined for massive success. But as she began her professional career at Nike, her body had different plans. She's had to reframe her relationship with running as she battles chronic fatigue. Her story is inspiring, undoubtably, but also hilarious. This is a true must-hear episode that will tug the heartstrings and provide a laugh or two along the way. Yale Sleep Experts Dr. Kryger and Lynelle Schneeberg: Sleep Is Everything

Yale Sleep Experts Dr. Kryger and Lynelle Schneeberg: Sleep Is Everything

Everyone knows that sleep is important. But for endurance athletes, it’s even more important—and also more challenging in certain ways. Does working out late in the day affect sleep quality? Does poor sleep the night before a race impact performance, and if so, what can be done about it? In this week’s podcast, Hanna and Matt get answers to these and other questions from Yale University sleep experts Meir Kryger and Lynelle Schneeberg. Be sure to subscribe, so you’re notified when new episodes drop every Thursday.

    Jessica Schnier: Coaching With Kindness

    Jessica Schnier: Coaching With Kindness

Nine days into her yearlong Coaches of Color Initiative apprenticeship, Jessica Schnier sat down with Hanna and Matt to tell her story, give honest feedback on how the apprenticeship experience is going so far, and share her hopes and plans for the future. Wise beyond her years, Jessica also explains her coaching philosophy and offers one of the best tips we’ve ever heard on dealing with rough patches in races.
COCI is a resource-intensive program, and we need your help to give Jessica and future apprentices the best possible experience. One way to do so is by signing up for the 80/20 Endurance Virtual Challenge, a monthlong festival of virtual races that we created to help athletes kickstart their year in fitness. Choose from 20-minute and 80-minute time-trial options for swimmers, cyclists, and runners. It costs just $20.80 (plus a small processing fee) to sign up, and each registration comes bundled with a free, four-week training plan created by 80/20 Endurance coaches. To learn more and register, click here.

Amanda Brooks: Run to the Finish

Amanda Brooks: Run to the Finish

Best known as the woman behind the immensely popular blog Run to the Finish, as well as the book of the same name, Amanda Brooks is also one of five coaches (our own Matt Fitzgerald being another) involved in PACE, an AI-powered adaptive training app for runners that was recently launched by TrainingPeaks. In her new interview with Hanna and Matt, Amanda explains how she got involved in the PACE project, what makes it so unique, and why she’s excited about the upcoming Austin Running Retreat, where she will join forces with Hanna, Matt, and others to provide a wonderful learning experience for runners like you.

Cohosts Hannah and Matt provide balance to the show and cultivate interesting conversations with their guests. This is one of the few endurance focused shows that I have found to be worth my time. Great job!

Endeavorun Camps

You will hear about the camps on these podcasts that I used to listen to everyday while running! When it comes to the camps if you decide to sign up, please make sure that you do not pay more than $450 for reserving your spot. I did pay the amount in full; however 2 weeks before the camp I had a serious family emergency and wrote so many emails to Mat and his team to let them know as early as possible and get a refund! They tried to make me leave the money for the upcoming camp which I won’t be available for. In addition, I needed the money for the family emergency as I was traveling outside the US to see my family! I did not get my money and the tone of their emails is so not what is expected if people in the running community! It sounds like I am begging for my money! I am really surprised and confused that this is Mat Fitzgerald that I have been following of years! This experience left me with a very bitter taste about the whole running camps experience! Please read the fine print very carefully!
