Today’s episode is a short but important conversation. It’s been a heavy week, and we’re taking time to talk about a few things that truly matter—both here in Louisiana and across the country.

We’re highlighting the Shine for Autumn Act and why your voice is so important right now. This life-changing bill needs more co-sponsors, and even though many agree on its importance, action only happens when representatives hear directly from the people they serve. SHINE has made it incredibly simple to reach out—just a few clicks can make a real difference.

We’re also discussing Louisiana Senate Bill 32, also known as Angel’s Law, which will be heard next week. Now is the time to show strong support. You can visit the Heidi St. James website to learn how to get involved, contact your legislators, and even show up in Baton Rouge if you’re able. Presence matters, and so does your voice.

Lastly, we pause to honor and remember the lives lost in the recent mass shooting in Shreveport, Louisiana—so close to home and heavy on all of our hearts. Today, we remember these precious children:

Jayla, 3
 Shayla, 5
 Kayla, 6
 Layla, 7
 Markaydon, 10
 Sarahn, 11
 Khedarrion, 6
 Braylon, 5
