9. Get Outside! (w/ Ashley Gary‪)‬ Science Sucks

    • Science

This episode is all about the great outdoors. Ashley Gary (she/her) is a wildlife educator and outdoor advocate. She runs The Wildlife Newsletter and hopes to one day have her own wildlife show. She talked about how to get outdoors (even if you live in a city) and offered powerful advice on how to start chasing your dreams today!

Ashley's tips to get outside:
• Go to a park
• Look for birds... they're everywhere!
• Visit a garden, nature centre, or botanical garden
• Grow your own garden!
• Try a local bird walk or park cleanup

Ashley's advice for aspiring wildlife enthusiasts:
• Be confident!
• Have your support system for when things get hard
• Be your own cheerleader! Promote your own work
• Take risks... that's when you get the biggest rewards. Don't count yourself out!
• Be persistent!
• If you have a dream, there is no better time than NOW to start living it.
