Mitchell interviews Ret. Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, former chief of staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell under President GW Bush, on the subject of the Trump Presidency, and the effects of this President’s policies here and abroad, with specific focus on the change and re-alignment of the geo-political landscape.

Wilkerson is the Distinguished Visiting Professor of Government and Public Policy at the nation’s oldest public university, The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, where he has taught for the past fifteen years. Previously, while serving in the US Army for 31 years, he also taught at the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island and the Marine Corps War College in Quantico, Virginia.  Positions he has held outside teaching include in the military, special assistant to General Colin L. Powell when the General was chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and, in civilian life, chief of staff to Powell when he served as U.S. Secretary of State.

Today Mitchell explores the subject of saltwater plants as the planet’s future food source.  From the view of personal and planetary health, intelligent use of natural resources and sustainability, this is a critical step society needs to take more robustly to secure efficient food security for 7 billion + people.

To discuss this is expert Dennis M. Bushnell.  Dennis is a NASA scientist and lecturer. As chief scientist at NASA Langley Research Center, he is responsible for technical oversight and advanced program formulation. His work is focused mainly on new approaches to environmental issues, in particular to climate issues. Bushnell has received numerous awards for his work. Bushnell has promoted research at NASA into LENR (low energy nuclear reactions, or cold fusion).

Bushnell obtained his M.E. degree from the University of Connecticut in 1963 and his M.S. degree from the University of Virginia in 1967, both in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

There is of course war in the form of military conflict but there are much subtler ones being waged these days such as economic and cyber-wars. For cyber-wars, we gently call it “hacking” but it is war.  And needs to be dealt with as such.  Best of course is to educate people and inculcate the values of peace starting at early ages, but in the meantime, protecting a nation’s businesses and institutions from hacking at this point in time, is just essential.

Today’s topic will focus on the serious increase of cyber-attacks and what can and is being done about it.
