Tired of one-sided rants from either side? Wish Christians and atheists would actually talk to each other, rather than over each other? So do we! Fundamental disagreements about God, faith and morality are too important to reduce to mere sniping from afar. Respectful, friendly discourse is what's needed, if there is to be any hope of mutual understanding. That is what our show is about.
134: Calvinism with Sam Brunaugh
The final part of a 3 part series on Calvinism (aka Divine Command Theory, aka you're probably screwed) with Sam Brunaugh. Scott joins us to set Sam straight about whether goodness has any meaning once it has been divorced from human understanding. Emery announces the new Stryper album again.
133: Divine Command Theory with Sam Brunaugh, pt. 2
Sam joins Emery to continue his discussion of Divine Command Theory and Calvinism. We look at whether we can predict the contents of God's character, where sin nature comes from, and whether Jesus and Adam were on equal footing when faced with the choice to sin.
132: Divine Command Theory with Sam Brunaugh
Sam Brunaugh joins us to discuss the Divine Command Theory. Sam believes that good is what God decides that it is. Emery argues that this makes morality arbitrary, plus goodness is not a thing. Join Sam, Emery, and Scott in a discussion of how morality should be defined.
131: We're sort of back
The forum has died, Scott is no longer a pastor, and Emery started playing the piano again. Has the world come to an end? Find out as Scott and Emery return to discuss what it is that God wants us to be, and how Christians decide when a law contradicts God's will.

Calvanisim vs Atheisim
Wow! Excellent 6/3/18 podcast. I am a strong Christ follower who now understands completely why I am not a Calvinist. Scott won this podcast hands down.
Nice discussion as an introduction to the issues
This is a great resource to begin to understand some of the logical issues amidst this debate. However, it must be acknowledged that Christianity is full of instances where these simple logical discussions cannot quite display the full magnitude of themes central to the Gospel. Paradoxes such as faith and the saving grace through Jesus Christ I beyond simple conversation...
With that said is also seems the two hosts bounce around on a lot of issues, and often talk past the other's points. The Atheist is definitely a better speaker, but he often seems to change the subject, while the Christian needs more time to think about his response...
I really like this format though. Thanks for a great podcast!
Hope you continue the podcast
I really like the the Format and the discussions on the selection of bible subjects. I hope you continue because as I am not a believer I really enjoy the give and take. Emory and Scott, you guys are great at making each episode enjoyable. Thank you
