Sometimes during the hottest days of Summer it can feel like you are in hell. The heat, the humidity, the demons of your past misdeeds coming to haunt you, it can all seem like too much. Bring on SummerWeen! Let's go back to school, back to Yale specifically, and back to cool weather and even cooler plot lines. There are A LOT of plot lines in this book. Hell Bent, the book with the white rabbit on the cover, was a delight for one of the hosts and a bit more difficult for another which makes it a lot of fun for both. Darlington is a demon, Alex is on a mission, and Trip is along for the ride. Who doesn't love solving puzzles and running from vampires? School can be hell in the Summer.

Thank you for the wonderful ride
I found this show in search of some fellow humans who had tackled the emotional rollercoaster that is Manacled (and you absolutely nailed the breakdown). I stayed for the wonderful surprise that was Jessica sobbing over the Clockwork Princess in the same way that I did back in 2014 (and the few times I've allowed myself to read it since). You gave me a small community to join when I've ridden the Shadowhunter train solo for so long.
It's hard to find others who like to deep dive in a way that is so raw. It's ok to hate a bit, it's definitely ok to love and it's encouraged to cry. I love this approach to reading and the mentality these women show up with in every episode - and for tackling some cannons that are greatly enjoyed by so many, and also hated upon by many as well :) you handle it with grace, humor and emotional intellect. I love to listen!
Thank you for the beautiful surprise this podcast has been for me the last couple weeks and keep doing what you're doing - if I could, I'd join you in a heartbeat!
