The Christmas Hirelings, Part 1, by Mary Elizabeth Braddon
Welcome to a special bonus episode of A Cozy Christmas Podcast.
It tells the story of a lonely, gruff widower Sir John Penlyon as he spends Christmas with his friend Danby and his niece Adela. Danby points out how Christmas is dull without children around, and Sir John agrees. Danby quickly hatches a scheme to find some children to hire to bring into Sir John's lonely house. Will the children bring some much needed joy to Sir John's life?

Part of Christmas
Slowly I got used to Art’s voice in my house and now it’s like having family in, talking about all what makes Christmas the best time of the year. I look forward to every Episode😀🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Definitely Cozy and Enjoyable
I look forward to each time this podcast uploads! I love to listen while I’m doing anything. Art’s voice is soothing and the background/transition music is smooth. I’m a huge fan of all things Christmas and Christmas literature (especially Charles Dickens). I like to listen to this podcast sometimes when I need a pick me up when times get rough.
This is a wonderful podcast that truly helps me keep the spirit of Christmas all year long.
Sweetest Christmas time!
I just found this podcast and it is so sweet! I enjoyed the stories, the candy eating and review. His voice is so like listening to Garrison Keillor tell a story. Just what I needed to listen to while baking gingerbread. 🎄🌲🍭🍬🍪
