Mrs. Claus: A Christmas Legend
On today's episode I talk about Mrs. Claus, share some of my favorite portrayals, and I read the first Christmas story that she's mentioned in: "A Christmas Legend" by James Rees.
Also, you can totally hear my pet parakeet Pickwick in the background of my recording. It's not too distracting I hope! He was in the holiday spirit and wanted to join me on the podcast.
Happy Septmeber everyone!

Mr Kris Kringle: A Christmas Tale by Silas Weir Mitchell
Hello and Happy Christmas in July! In today's episode I read you a charming Christmas story called "Mr. Kris Kringle". In this classic story, it's Christmas Eve, and two children and their single mother are facing having to leave their home soon and move to the city. They are also poor so Kris Kringle - aka Santa Claus - won't be able to visit them this year. After the kids go to bed for the night, they hear a noise outside. What - or who? - could it be? Kris Kringle? A Robber? What happens next is a beautiful story of miracles and redemption.

Enjoyable
Love the stories
The Tender Voice of Christmas
This podcast immediately gets me in the Christmas spirit. Art’s tender voice is so calming, that I could listen to him for hours (and do) while I envision myself sitting next to a fireplace with my feet up and hot chocolate in my hand. I feel like I’m transported to that setting each time I listen. The true love for Christmas exudes from each episode and through every guest.
Great stories and more
I loved the Victorian story, the Christmas Hirelings.
Great research! Thank you for bringing that story to the air. Wonderful!
I’m hoping to hear more such stories.
