We're here for an Awfully Good Time, not a long time.

We have a fun one for you this time. Mike and Alex go through a track by track commentary of Alex's upcoming debut EP from Awfully Good Times. We even debut every single track as they'll appear on the EP as we go. There is some incredibly insightful, introspective thoughts on what went into creating these songs and we're excited to unleash them here before anywhere else.

    Simply Smashing

After  a short break, we're back! Bryan Carroll stopped by to talk about his role in Super Thrash Bros., iconic video game music, stage dive fails, and speculation on the rest of the Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC roster. We then go into his work with Beardly Booking and what he feels like he's doing differently when it comes to booking and running shows. His other band Ventress is currently recording their first full length record, but we'll save the scoop on that for another day.

    Want Some Gravy With That?

    Want Some Gravy With That?

Vater Boris (DejaGravy/Will Wood and the Tapeworms/idk a dozen other bands) stopped by. Hilarity ensues. We talked about DejaGravy's upcoming split with Please Exist, interacting with fans at shows, the worst show Bedtime Stories ever played, and the absolute best voicemail that Vater ever received (a result of his ringback tone/voicemail greeting at the time). A whole lot of reminiscing. A ton of talking about other local bands we like.

We had Brandon Stasi back on the show to talk about his new project, Caving. We chatted about the end of Sudden Suspension, separating old projects from new ones, Spiderman, and went off topic a lot.

Great Podcast for Local Artist Lovers

Love the podcast. I have really enjoyed hearing from the people I used to see in shows when I was in high school and what they've been up to lately. Mike does a good job helping listeners feel like they are part of the conversation, sitting there on the couch with them. Great for anyone who loves to local artist scene and appreciates aspiring young talent. Keep up the good work!
