A Show Called Spectacular

I first heard about this show through a spooky spotlight showcase in Monster Hour, another actual play podcast. I’m so glad they shared this because I have been missing out.

It’s incredibly clear that this group is committed. The story, the characters, the background, it’s all so good. So much work is put into this and every asset of the show fits together so well.

Each and every one of the cast members contributes something unique and valuable to A Game Called Quest. The whole concept in and of itself, while somewhat reminiscent of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, is incredibly original and well thought-out.

Personally, my favorite PC is Thorn, the gorgeous, nature-loving, androgynous, goodest plant boy.

This show is great. 5 Stars, 10/10, 100%. Keep up the great work, folks!

Storytelling and friends, what more do you need?

The bond between the players is immediately apparent. Listening to this group, you feel their love of storytelling and having fun. And aren’t those the best parts of D&D?

A well-produced adventure with friends

It’s like being at the table with a group of friends that enjoy telling stories together. The show is produced with plenty of immersive details added through music and ambient sound effects. The added focus on creating an inclusive space and spotlighting other marginalized artists wins my support all the more.
