A podcast for the admittedly not-so-perfect person of faith
Breaking Generational Bondage
Fresh off of their spring hiatus, Ni'Kesia and The Doc dive right into this week's topic of breaking generational bondages. Touching on their own bondages that they've needed to break (or are in the process of breaking), the two discuss how ignoring the negative traits that have been passed down can drastically impact your life.
Grow In God
On this week's song-filled episode of A Good Return, Ni'Kesia and The Doc explore the topic of growing in God and just how you will know that you've done just that.
I'm Waiting On God
In this week's episode (beginning at 11:53) titled "I'm Waiting On God," Ni'Kesia and The Doc discuss the importance of not using waiting for God's direction as an excuse to stay stagnant.
I Want a Divorce!
In this week's episode of A Good Return titled "I Want a Divorce!" The Doc opens up about his own divorce and delivers a few tips to go by while on the road to redemption. Ni'Kesia, on the other hand, discusses how divorce—though usually only thought about from the viewpoint of husband and wife—can also include divorcing a longterm job, friendship, or relationship.
Let's Talk About Sex, Baby!
On this week's episode of A Good Return, things get a little spicy as Ni'Kesia and The Doc discuss the topic of sex and how it relates to the Christiandom (starts at 9:57). Though usually "hush, hush" and rarely spoken about other than in a sense of condemnation in, the two discuss why it's time to change the narrative around sex and normalize the discussion of it in the church.
Enough Is Enough
After The Doc kicks things off with explaining the importance of putting some respect on the "L." in Dr. Corey L. Hamilton, the duo tackle the topic of the week: knowing when enough is really enough. An expansion of their initial series that influenced the podcast, determining when you've had enough (in all areas of life) takes a lot of faith and letting go of even more fear.
Wow! A breath of fresh air
This is such an honest, relatable take on spirituality for the modern age. You both discussed real world issues that folks of faith and not of faith can learn from. Thank you both for this. I look forward to upcoming episodes.
