Architect’s mom

My son, an avid listener od LL and FP claims that somehow, each episode uniquely unfolds a ‘tone’ that transports the listener into the mind-environment od the artist/architect/protagonist of the episode. I’m not really sure what he means by that, but nonthless I found the episodes engaging and delightful. Feels like the authors invested decades of work to compile some of these!

Disrespect and Cowardice

I normally don't write negative reviews of any kind but in this case I will.

I host a YouTube channel that focuses on history called ''The Study of Antiquity and the Middle Ages,'' and my primary focus is Ancient and Medieval History. That being said I constantly work with some great and growing history podcasts providing visuals and etc, that really spice up their episodes.

Recently I posted one and it deals with race, ethnicty, modern perceptions of race as a social consruct and how applying those views to the past can actually distort it. It was a very thought provoking episode in which the host of the podcast interviewed an academic on the subject to show what academia today thinks about this subject and all of its controversies.

Apparently this podcast didn't enjoy it and so he took it upon himself to leave the podcast a bad review and would actually go further by sending the podcaster emails in which he disrepected him, insulted him and stated that he he didn't think that the man should be in the military due to his political and social stance because they didn't align ''perfectly'' with his own.

In short he disrepected a verteran who is a highly educated and very polite man that I have had the privilege to meet and work with. This form of behavior disgusts me and honestly this weak excuse of an individual should be ashamed of his own idiocy.

World Compass

Not a review, more of a comment...
In our fast-moving world Architecture has seemingly become a corporate (and) lifestyle footnote. A PR optimization. The works of modernism masters Gropius, Behrens, Corbusier now seem just a halcyon, an anomaly, a blip. No. Those were hard won, with feverish struggle. There are invaluable lessons there, on passion in craft and how it’s refractions had forever changed how we look at the World.

These audio essays from Lapsus Lima (Getzin, Belevan), such great storytelling, have me on the edge of my seat each episode!
