Appreciative In Pittstown, New Jersey

One of my favorite history podcasts and I usually make it my first pick to listen to when I download the day’s feed. Well researched and a good look at U S history with a beefed-up vantage from wider European History. Especially liked today’s installment on the Repeal of the Stamp Act and William Pitt’s “speech of a lifetime.” It made him so popular out here in the colonies that here in Hunterdon County, New Jersey a local village was renamed “Pitt’s-Town” by 1768, and it remains so to this date. (I realize there is a city somewhere named Pittsburgh, but I understand that was named in his honor after the Seven Years War.)

Love it!!

Great job, I like to multi-source historical information before putting too much stock into it, from what I have been able to find this show has always been spot on in factual content (always giving a disclaimer when there are differing thoughts/info). My Very ADD brain loves how this show is put together.

Side note in the occasional mispronunciation-the Haters need to get over themselves! We all mispronounce words all the time! Especially considering it is almost always a word in a different language/cultural pronunciation. Great job keep up the good work.
