“How can we look to the church of the past to help us shape what’s coming next?” It’s easy to assume (and sometimes nice to fantasize that) we know everything–that we’re the most important generation, or the most important country, or person in our sphere, or in our family, etc. But Jesus (and an examination of the history of the church) turns that idea on it’s head. We’re coming to the tail end of Therefore,Go, and Robert talked to us about the history of the church, and worked through a Discovery bible study of Matthew 19–learning about what Jesus actually values and who he sees as being of the greatest importance.
