6-7-21 New Roots CO Executive Director Evan Ellis
On this episode of the New Roots Community Radio Hour, we interview the first ever Executive Director for New Roots CO, Evan "Lanny" Ellis. Lanny has a wide variety of experience paired with a passion for growing plants and feeding people that makes him a strong positive force for the food movement in the Eagle River Valley and beyond.
New Roots CO is a local Colorado non-profit that focuses on solutions to bridge the gap between the food waste in this country and the dire need for food. Our physical work may be located in Colorado, but this is work that is needed all over the country. Every other week on Thursday we host a local radio show in which we bring local experts on areas pertaining to food, waste, and sustainability to share their knowledge to benefit everyone. -
12 - 22 - 20 Permaculture With Paul, Jane, and Berit Pt 2
On this episode of the New Roots Community Radio Hour we continue on to part II where we turned the reigns over to our FIRST EVER INTERN, Berit. After she headed back out to college in the Pacific Northwest, she virtually interviewed her professor Paul and his wife Jane. They own 8 acres, which they have worked to turn into a permaculture site with pigs, vegetables, and a lot of family help.
