Useful both professionally and personally

As clinician interning at a fully adherent DBT clinic, Dr. Swenson’s podcast is incredibly useful both personally and professionally. Dr. Swenson’s ability to explain DBT and the various DBT skills is second to none. He artfully takes deceptively simple skills, such as the skill of “Observation”, and explores them in great depth while weaving in personal and clinical stories that highlight the utility of the skill. He also uses humor and personal self disclosure to drive home what are at times abstract ideas and concepts.

My only gripe with Dr. Swenson’s work is that there isn’t more of it! The “DVD” section of his website is empty, and I am hoping he has plans to produce recorded seminars at some point.

Useful and inspiring

As a DBT therapist, I have loved this podcast. I have also recommended it to family and clients. Charlie has a gift for bringing the skills to life with good stories. I am grateful for this work.
