Not for me...

A noir podcast where three people giggle constantly is pretty brutal.
I’ll try the other one folks recommended who take the subject matter seriously.

It’s okay

For some reason, I think I hear a dog whining in some these episodes, which can be annoying. I’m not sure if it’s sound effect or an actual dog. The podcast is okay. For some reason, they seem they’re trying to hard to be funny. The swearing seems a bit forced. I listen to lots of podcast that have swearing, but it’s minimal and doesn’t feel forced. Listen to it and form your own opinions. The show can be better.

Irritating, Uninformed, & Insulting to your Intelligence

I came to this looking for another Out Of The Past type podcast which is so good & informative. I want more insight on Noir & the films, but after listening to a few of these my disappointment grows exponentially. I feel stupid after listening to these women giggle and gush and cuss. Out of the Past gave you intelligent learned insight and taught you about the genre & the films & how to understand the filmmakers use of Noir tropes & symbolism & camera work & lighting & even individual scenes & shots/images so that you can better understand Noir when you see it. & Clute & Edwards were so knowledgeable about Noir film & literature they discussed source material & differences & wrote a book about Noir. I even emailed C & E a question regarding a film I’d seen as a kid but only could remember one image from & they knew the film’s title & responded & I found & watched it again after decades. These giggly girls don’t bother to prepare at all, to the point they don’t know basic information regarding the films. Pulling the plug on this. Please Clute & Edwards, come back.
