Come, Lord Jesus --- Genesis 15:1-6
On this second week of Advent, we light the candle of Peace. And in looking forward to the coming of Jesus, we look back at God's first covenant with Abram. The faith of one man began a holy promise from God that one man's descendants would become the People of God and outnumber a sea of stars. The covenant continues for generations up through the coming of the Christ, who would take the punishment of our breaking our end of the deal on the cross.
