Cheyenne Hunt - Candidate House of Representatives CA District 45

The descendant of Syrian refugees, Cheyenne was raised by two generations of single mothers who fought to create their version of the American Dream.
Cheyenne overcame generational obstacles to become the first in her family to graduate college, with dual degrees in political science and public policy. She went on to earn her law degree, drawing on her own experiences to defend domestic violence survivors in the Orange County courts.
She then made history as the youngest law clerk for Senator Amy Klobuchar. During her time working with the Senate Judiciary Committee, Cheyenne helped construct the impeachment case against former President Trump and was instrumental in drafting and promoting legislation that advanced progressive causes.
As a policy advocate, she has used her experience to organize grassroots action, draft federal legislation, and advise the White House on the most pressing issues of our time. With her fresh perspective and unwavering public service commitment, Cheyenne has the proven experience necessary to effect real and lasting change at all levels of government.

A local treasure

Jodi is one of the most committed folks I know to teaching and providing tools for this generation to get involved in local politics. My selfish hope is the Democratic Party takes notice and pays mind to some of the brilliant strategic thoughts that she has. I am so delighted to hear these podcasts - keep up the excellent work. Oh, please lmk when and if you get Katie Porter on.
