Levis spent the entire offseason and training camp inside Tennessee’s new offense under head coach Robert Saleh and offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. He participated in meetings, learned the terminology, practiced against the Titans defense and watched Cam Ward develop within the system. How valuable could that knowledge be to the Jets? Austin Stanley and JT Ruhnke apply Saleh’s comments to the Titans’ first two-deep depth chart on today’s LIVE A to Z Sports Nashville morning show. Our working evaluation of Tennessee’s 42-player offensive and defensive two-deep identifies 18 players entering their third NFL season or younger and 17 established veterans. Seven additional players fall somewhere between those groups because of experience, opportunity, injuries or limited proven production. That creates an almost perfectly divided Titans roster. Is that the healthy balance Tennessee needs under Saleh and general manager Mike Borgonzi—or does the depth chart contain too many players who still must prove they belong in major NFL roles? The young group represents much of Tennessee’s potential upside. Cam Ward enters his second season as the franchise quarterback. Rookie wide receiver Carnell Tate carries enormous expectations after being selected fourth overall. JC Latham, Fernando Carmona and other young players are being trusted with important roles around Ward. The Titans also need their proven veterans to establish the team’s floor. On today’s LIVE A to Z Sports Nashville morning show, Austin and Easton discuss how much weight Titans fans should place on “winning” joint practice—and what actually matters when evaluating Cam Ward, Caleb Williams and their respective teams. Carnell Tate was Tennessee’s offensive standout in Thursday’s session. Easton charted seven catches on 12 targets with two touchdowns, as Tate repeatedly connected with Ward after a relatively quiet stretch of training camp. His production included contested plays, scramble-drill connections and consistent involvement throughout the day. Ward’s performance was not perfect. He missed high on several early throws and threw an interception before settling in and delivering a stronger finish. Austin and Easton explain why those mistakes belong in the evaluation alongside the explosive completions.
