A VO's Journey is about helping new voiceover artists grow their business by listening to my journey to becoming a full-time voice actor. I have been an actor, coach, director, and teacher for over 20 years. I started six years ago in the voice-over industry and wanted to create a way to document my journey so other voice over actors could benefit from it. Voiceover is now my life, and I love every moment of it.

Want More Voiceover Work ... FOCUS Your Efforts

One of our biggest challenges is getting attention, and then keeping it long enough, to sell them our voiceover services.

There are people with way more money than us out there just slamming people with advertising. Instead of doing everything to get as much attention as possible, focus on one single genre of voiceover and then go all in.

Ep. 6: Stop listening to the BS and Win at Voiceover

Stop listening to the BS and Win at Voiceover

I was trying to enjoy my weekend, but I was bombarded with noise from the business and voiceover world.

This past weekend, I was watching some videos on being an entrepreneur in today's society. What we should be doing, and I needed to be on social media 24/7, I needed to be superhuman at working longer than anyone else. I need to be doing more voiceover work than humanly possible.

I was discouraged. Then, I realized that the solution was to put all the energy into what mattered, which was getting business. I needed to take the outlets I know produce business for me and focus on them, and I will be able to get work.

We talk about my struggle with this and what I have come up with to help my voiceover business move forward in this podcast.

Incredible insight into the industry, struggles, and success possible in the VO world.

Today I finished a 4 month experience in listening to every one of Anthony’s podcasts. Being new to VO Anthony’s podcast and Facebook group are an excellent place to start. I first listened to the podcasts that I felt applied to me the most…the would be the most helpful, but after listening to those I knew I had to listen to the rest. It’s been worth every minute of listening. Anthony is an incredible success story and truly makes you feel like you can be successful in the crazy world of VO as well.

So much good information and wisdom!

Getting into VO can be a bit overwhelming if you don’t know the Ins and outs of this business and career. Anthony is a great guide for getting into and growing a VO business. Very down to earth and knowledgeable from first hand experiences, everything is explained in an “Everyman” way that anyone can understand and use successfully. A VOs Journey podcasts are a goldmine of wisdom from a VO talent that has been through it. Highly recommend!
