About Google’s Helpful Content Update The Content Marketing Podcast

    • Marketing

After much anticipation (and SEO trepidation!) Google finally started rolling out its “Helpful Content Update” to the world on August 25th. The results? For what seemed like more of a PR exercise with a great deal of chatter and speculation amongst the content and SEO community, the initial results from the first rollouts were apparently non-existent.

In the first of our updates on this Helpful Content launch, we meet to discuss initial thoughts.

We will release an update after September 13, 2022, which will be more than two weeks after rollout and at a point where we can make more definitive statements.

On this webinar we discussed:

What Google is telling us about where they intended to move with the public relations (PR) push around this update.
The one-week PR push pre-update with so little happening within the first few days of the update.
What will we see over the next two weeks?
In terms of Google’s now-famous Panda update in 2011, the language is VERY similar in terms of what Google is telling us makes good content at the time of both launches.
Google in Panda (and, really, most updates) would tell us the number of queries affected, and yet nothing this time. We have no idea how big or small this thing is.

We discuss much of what you need to know about Google’s Helpful Content update.

Join Dave Snyder, CEO of content marketing experts CopyPress and an expert in content and SEO, along with Brian Chappell Founder, Adapt Marketing, and an expert on SEO, and Jeremy Rivera, SEO from Hive Digital, and an expert on SEO, plus David Cross, Marketing Director of CopyPress, and a direct response marketer for over 30 years.
