The Rules That Mess Up Your Golf
In this episode, I introduce you to the concept of "rules books".
Not the USGA version that you might reference for a ruling when you play. This is more like a manual that you unknowingly, at times, carry with you when you play.
This rules book affects how you show up during a round. It impacts your emotions, focus, score and overall enjoyment.
Listen in to discover where to find what you have in your rules book and how it affects your score.

The Best Time To Work On Your Mental Game
Working on your mental game, how you think on the course and how to calm your emotions, is not reserved for low handicappers.
Learning this skill is actually not a golf skill it is a life skill...because you have one brain.
All golfers or any level have similar experiences on the course. They all have negative thoughts and emotions that interfere with making their best swings and enjoying golf fully.
The difference is skill set. The number of accurate shots and the number of missed shots.
In this podcast, I talk about a presentation I gave to a high-handicap group of women. I share three mental skills that this group learned that will benefit you no matter what your handicap.

Turning Doom and Gloom Into Your Best Golf Year Ever
I have a guest! In this episode, I talk with Karen Rainey, an accomplished golfer, about how she turned a rough 2020 season into one of the best golf years ever in 2021.
We dive into how she realized the problem wasn't her mechanics...which is where we tend to look first.
She shares how she dealt with and overcame, perfectionism, high expectations, and fear of failure.
Also, you may be surprised, since it has nothing to do with golf, on what her biggest takeaway was from working with me and what she considered her biggest accomplishment in a year filled with trophies.
Karen is an awesome example of what is possible when you put some effort into mastering your golf brain.

6 Steps to Master Your Golf Brain
Mastering your golf brain is not complicated but it takes awareness, repetition, and persistence.
I walk you through the 6 steps to take on the golf course to manage your mind before a shot (3 steps) and after a shot (3 steps).
The hardest part about managing your brain is questioning the thoughts you have and deciding to believe something different even when you might not have proof or evidence.
You are constantly fighting the natural tendencies of your brain. The part that is telling you you are going to mess up, or make a fool of yourself or that you should be better.
In the Quick Start Guide to Master Your Golf Brain, I break it down, give you tools to use and share phrases to try on the golf course so that you can play with more confidence, more calm and more consistency.
