Kat Foster (JEAN CLAUDE VAN JOHNSON, WEEDS, TIL DEATH) interviews actors about how they use acting in their real, everyday lives – how they deal with fear, go with the flow and follow their instincts. She knows that these conversations will be both useful and inspiring for all listeners – actors and non-actors! Mostly, Kat's into exploring authenticity. In fact, out of respect for authenticity, she'd like to tell you that she wrote this blurb, but made it sound like she didn't, because that’s the convention. Hey. It’s me. Thanks for coming. I’m excited to talk ACTING REAL. I love you. Really.
On Formlessness, The Mystery Of Existence, and The Vast Expanse Of Consciousness That Is Us.
On the beauty of aging, setting goals, and finding gratitudes. Also, a real conversation about what has and has not changed over this past year during the Black Lives Matter Movement.
On becoming ourselves, contending with our fear of f*****g up, and learning to groove.
On navigating paralyzing anxiety under high pressure (AKA stage fright), the rewards of acceptance, and where ideas come from.
On creating, donating, and feeling great.
On moving through loss, the power of quitting, and the journey of becoming a parent.
I love the laidback no holds barred style. Kat’s voice is calming and her laugh infectious. My only criticism is with the Mary Elizabeth interview. Their voices are similar. And I got confused who was who. Maybe if Mary’s name had been mentioned more often. It is one of my favs. Listened to it with a friend, but we got confused. Funny stuff. Love your podcast. I’m not into acting, just a fan of Kat Foster.
I love Kat and I love this podcast and am inspired by it every time I listen.
Fabulous Funny and Interesting
I’ve always been a fan of Kat Foster as a performer, but who knew she was such a great interviewer!? These are funny, insightful and great for long walks or drives. Highly recommended!
