Kat Foster (JEAN CLAUDE VAN JOHNSON, WEEDS, TIL DEATH) interviews fellow actors about how they use all the stuff they’ve learned from acting, in their real, everyday lives – stuff like how to deal with fear, how to go with the flow, and how to follow instincts. She thinks that talking about that stuff will be not only useful, but also maybe inspiring for all kinds of listeners – actors and non-actors alike. Mostly, Kat is interested in knowing and talking about being authentic. In fact, right now, out of respect for authenticity, she’d like to let you know that she’s the actual writer of this
On loving yourself, being a beautiful speck, and how to do less s****y things.
On the excitement of feeling decimated, finding gratitude for the shittiness, and going deeper when you think you’re gonna die.
On transformation, truth, and attaining enlightenment on the way to the airport.
On the hows and whys of remaining inspired, really knowing what you want, and nurturing mystery.
On Samurai ethos, what to say to the guy at the airport, and the value of getting your ass kicked.
On aging, agelessness, and swimming deeper when you’re sinking.

I love the laidback no holds barred style. Kat’s voice is calming and her laugh infectious. My only criticism is with the Mary Elizabeth interview. Their voices are similar. And I got confused who was who. Maybe if Mary’s name had been mentioned more often. It is one of my favs. Listened to it with a friend, but we got confused. Funny stuff. Love your podcast. I’m not into acting, just a fan of Kat Foster.
Came here for kellee Stewart episode. Only black guest? smh. Her ep was amazing. Others eps have Some good insights but can’t really get through the layers of privilege.
MAJOR EPIPHANY ALERT
The episodes with Azita and Pej are game changers. 10/10. This is hands down my favorite acting podcast because the discussions are very inspiring. Thank you for talking about feelings and raising consciousness. Learning a great deal by listening to these brave souls.
