Reimagining the shoe one zipper at a time.

Shoes do they always need to be laced? On today's episode of Adaptive the community podcast we talk to Billy Price the cofounder of Billy footwear.  A company that is flipping the shoe industry on its head by opening that shoe right up.

As a teenager, Seattle native Billy Price suffered a spinal cord injury and became paralyzed from the chest down, losing the ability to move his fingers. Daily tasks became difficult, but using his creative mind and unyielding spirit, he never gave up. He continued on, facing life's challenges with tenacity and determination.

Born out of a need, BILLY Footwear was founded on the principle of inclusion and perseverance. Along with co-founder Darin Donaldson, Billy strives to add value to the lives of others and make a measurable difference in the world, one foot at a time.

Why I left the University of Northern Colorado, the system is broken

Why I left the University of Northern Colorado, the system is broken

No, I didn't flunk out of college; yes, the University of Northern Colorado failed me not academically as a student but as an individual with a disability and someone who access his information differently. And this is that story.
I left this statement in a couple of different places, but it is vitally important to me that it is seen and heard by those that need to see and hear it so that hopefully, students in the future don't experience the same.
I am leaving the University of Northern Colorado because, as a disabled individual, I do not feel that UNC is physically, geographically, or academically properly equipped to be accessible.
