On February 14, 2011, UNCG and the Guilford Coalition on Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention hosted the Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Summit at the Greensboro Airport Marriott. The Summit brought together over 300 community members, school board members, and scholars invested reducing teenage pregnancy in Guilford County. The agenda included plans to address issues in visibility and awareness of the magnitude of adolescent pregnancy, to create a Guilford County cross-agency, bipartisan team of leaders, providers, and parents, and to work towards developing a community-wide action plan to address adolescent pregnancy.
