    The State Of College Planning

    The State Of College Planning

We ran across an article in USA Today about a company started by a couple of Harvard grads, that's doing more work to get students internationally into the states And they've made a ton of money doing it. But what are their motives?
This got us thinking about what we want to talk about in this episode. Where are we, as a country, right now, with college planning, and how we approach college planning for our kids. How can we, as parents who want the best for our kids, make sure we don't get sucked into the hype of college. And how can we best understand how and why colleges and universities cost as much as they do.
College planning is something your family MUST do to ensure the best education at the best price for your student.
During each episode, Aaron Greene, Founder and CEO at College Liftoff, and his staff of counselors help students and families reduce the cost of higher education, navigate the application process, and make well-rounded decisions by evaluating the modern metrics of education.

Should College Athletes Get Paid To Play

Should College Athletes Get Paid To Play

If the National Collegiate Athletic Association will not to allow college athletes to be paid for playing the sports, then they should at least let them make money by marketing themselves. Players don't make any money from the selling of merchandise, such as their jerseys.
    Or should they?
Aaron talks with Christoper Heaney, College Liftoff's Graphic Designer, and recent graduate of The Ohio State University.
Paying college athletes is no doubt controversial, but needs to be addressed soon.

When You Want To Give Your Kid The Best

When You Want To Give Your Kid The Best

High school offers so many extracurricular activities, like sports, music, and theater just to name a few. Plus, all the sports clubs that you can pay for. And, if you are lucky enough to have professional performing arts groups in your area, they more than likely offer opportunities for your children to begin a professional track.
But what is too much? Will paying for all these extra sports clubs and performing arts classes really help your student get scholarship awards? Or are we just playing to our fears, the "fear of missing out."

College_grad ,

This guy knows his stuff

Aaron's advice on how to select and pay for college is pure gold. He's smart, funny, and has really done the research so you don't have to. He makes things crystal clear for families struggling with the choice of where (and how) to send kids to college. Very informative.
