We’ve been called the dark continent, a place perceived by many to be full of despair and hopelessness. Unbeknown to them, a new Africa is emerging; one where the glass is no longer half empty but half full, where our issues are no longer embarrassing problems but the exciting impact and entrepreneurial opportunities. A place that is giving birth to some of the best global impact innovations and solutions inspired by the diversity of our challenges and our young, vibrant and growing population. Africa is the global sandbox for impact, the Wembley that every true global impact player desires to play in. We are rising, driven by the diversity of impact challenges, changing mindsets, melting pot of innovative solutions, groundbreaking local technologies and solutions, stories of creating something from nothing, and innovations that came out of no strategy - just pure grit, resilience and having lived the problem with a strong desire to live the solution. However, we don’t get to hear enough of and learn from these inspiring stories of changemakers, their innovations and solutions. Who better to tell these amazing stories of impact and African solutions to African problems than Africans themselves?
Join us in an exciting new podcast series showcasing African impact through Africans themselves, hosted by your African impact guide Dr Frank Aswani[FA1] where we share, accelerate, inspire, and learn (SAIL), blowing winds into each other’s sails. We shall mainly tell stories from within, but not be shy to borrow from outside.
