On this episode of After-Hours, we are joined by James Carper of Car Shop Karoshi. Karoshi is a drift team from Pennsylvania that has been blowing up over the last couple of years. They came out this past year with sick matching paint jobs and liveries. These cars really grabbed my attention at Final Bout East! James is the first member we had on but we expect to have the rest of the team on the podcast over time as well. Can't wait to see what they do this coming year!

Well we have finally reached max capacity for the office/podcast studio. Road Stars came out in full force with all 5 members for this episode. Road Stars is a drift team from Northern Virginia. We met these dudes at Final Bout Special Stage East last year and were amazed to see a team of ONLY Mazda Miatas! On this episode we find ourselves at Jimmy Oakes shop in Connecticut! Jimmy is an automotive content creator, a parts retailer, and a drifter! If you are not aware of him, make sure to go check out his Youtube in the link below and follow him on social media. Jimmy was nice enough to let us stop by while we were running errands picking up parts nearby. He is a true automotive enthusiast and I believe that shines in this podcast. We get his origin story all the way up to present day. We also got a look into what is involved in becoming a YouTube content creator. A lot was learned on this trip. I was also taken back by the amount of top notch work I saw in his shop on our visit. By the time we left we were telling him to open a restoration shop for these old Japanese cars. Our first traveling podcast episode was a complete success and we hope to do more this year!

On the final episode of the year we had Anthony Purcell stop in during his christmas vacation to share with us his origin story. Ant has been involved in the car community, specifically on the east coast for the last 10 years. He has shot video for not only car shows but car commercials as well. He even shot our Seasons Greetings 3 video! Ant has traveled the world during his career and shares with us some of his favorite moments while working. Maybe we will even get him in a drift car next year, who knows!

Edwin & Pravan of PRIME NYC came through this week! They host what I would call the BEST street style car shows in the tristate area. These events are always a blast to check out because of the time and energy they both put into setting them up and making sure they are ran properly.
