This week we speak with Agustín De La Mora about celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the De La Mora Institute of Interpretation, what characteristics the optimum candidate needs to succeed as an interpreter, and more!

Agustín De La Mora is a Professional interpreter,  FCI, SCI, Med interpreter certified instructor, President of De La Mora Institute of Interpretation, and the creator of the training program “Weightlifting for Interpreters”.

He's been in the industry for over 28 years,  spent 11 of those years as Supervising Ct interpreter of the 9th Judicial Circuit in Orlando Florida, where he currently resides.  

He designed and delivered orientation training for more than 15 states! 

He has also a degree in Psychology, he is a member of the Project Advisory Committee responsible for the creation of the National Standards for Healthcare Interpreter Training Programs for the NCIHC, part motivational speaker, and part stand–up comedian.   

Agustin is truly an advocate for student and professional interpreters alike to strive to reach their fullest potential!
