About Our Guest:
Dave Childers is a Managing Member of Cedar Rock Capital based in Nashville, TN. Mr. Childers has over 15 years of experience in real estate investing in multi-family housing. Dave has had transactions that are in the hundreds of millions. Dave has worked as property manager, asset manager, and multi-family broker, coach, and speaker.
In 2011, Dave saw a need for a brokerage firm that focused on small multi-family properties and investors. In the years since, Dave has built Residential Investment Advisors into a successful brokerage firm. Dave has brokered over a 400+ smaller multi-family properties in Middle TN, Northern Alabama, and Southern KY. In 2017, Matt Moore took over the day to day selling, while Dave began to focus solely on large investments.
A recent partnership with Volunteer Properties, a Middle TN based property Management Company, has added more involvement with the local apartment industry as well. Over the past year, Dave has been advising them and has helped them to nearly double in size. They are now managing close to 2,500 units locally.
Dave also serves as the managing broker for Millennia Housing TN which currently holds over 2,500 units from Memphis to Johnson City, TN.
Dave is frequently called upon to speak at various investments meetings around the Middle TN area. He has recently become a board member of the local real estate investment club, REIN.
