fun & intriguing

A very in depth look into both books; entertaining & educational as well. I've learned more about the original books from this podcast than from any other source : ) I find the wonderland & looking-glass worlds facinating on many levels & I'm happy to have discovered this gem!

This Is How a Podcast Should Be Done

I wasn't an Alice in Wonderland fan before I started listening to this podcast. In fact, I'd never even read the book and just assumed it was simply too old timey and 19th century for my tastes. As it turns out- I was wrong. Because I am really enjoying Alice in Wonderland. It's a lot of fun, made even more so because of the way the host is reading the book aloud, 1 chapter per episode. Her enthusiasm for the story is obvious and it really pulls you in. She also really knows her stuff in terms of the creation of Alice in Wonderland and it's fun to get the backstory about the chapter she's just read. Also I have to give major points for presentation here. So many podcasts are just rambling chit chat between several people who are more interested in cracking each other up than entertaining the listener. That is not the case here. The star here is the subject, Alice in Wonderland. And the host presents the story in a way that keeps you interested and entertained. This to me is what a podcast should be. Not someone trying to be an annoying drive time DJ, but rather just someone talking about a subject so passionately that they make YOU care as much about that subject as they do. That's definitely the case here and as such- I highly recommend this podcast.
